Buy wedding insurance to protect your deposits.

Hire wedding planner, if needed.

Order wedding dress, veil, and shoes.

Book ceremony officiant.

Book photographer.

Book videographer.

Book reception caterer, if needed.

Book florist.

Book ceremony musicians.

Book reception band or deejay.

Plan and book honeymoon.

Renew or get passports, if necessary.

Set up wedding website to share information with guests.

Send out save-the-date cards, if using.

4-6 Months Before

Have final wedding gown fitting with shoes, accessories, and lingerie.

Review RSVP list and call any guests who have not yet sent a response.

Begin reception seating plan, and start writing place cards, if needed.

Find out where your guests will be staying, if you plan to deliver welcome baskets.

Write toasts for rehearsal dinner and wedding reception.

Break in wedding shoes at home.

1 Week Before

1 Day Before

Have manicure and pedicure.

Rehearsal ceremony.

Attend rehearsal dinner.

Wedding Day

Give your marriage license to your officiant.

Give gifts to parents to thank them for their support. Present each other with gifts.

Give wedding rings to the best man and maid of honor to hold during the ceremony.

Relax, and enjoy your big day!

Postwedding

Return any rental items.

Write and send thank-you cards to guests and vendors.
